London Baptists and its member churches has a long history in campaigning for justice. You can find resources for that here.

London Baptists seeks to resource and support its member churches as they engage in matters of justice.

As the prophet Micah says:

He has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? (Micah 6:8 NRSV)

As of September 2020, London Baptists is in the process of launching a Justice Hub. This is a local expression of the National Justice Hub within Baptists Together. Local justice hubs comprise of handful of volunteers with a passion and commitment for disability, gender, race, social and other geographically-relevant justice concerns. They connect at a local level and embody the interdependence of Baptist life.

Our primary aims are to:

  • Be a local justice resource to churches, ministers, Partnerships, Associations and Colleges
  • Encourage and challenge churches, Partnerships and Associations to create and/or sustain just cultures

Rev. Nathan McGuire of Streatham Baptist Church is the moderator of our justice hub. If you want to know more about what we're up to, please get in touch with him.

In meantime, watch this space for further developments!
