Women in Ministry
Resources for Churches in Settlement and those considering their position on women in ministry
Find out moreWe continue to seek to resource and support member churches as they engage in matters of justice.
As the prophet Micah says:
He has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
(Micah 6:8 NRSV)
London Baptists Justice Hub is a local expression of the National Justice Hub within Baptists Together. Local justice hubs comprise a group of local leaders with a passion for and commitment for disability, gender, race, social, ecological and other geographically relevant justice concerns. The London Baptists Justice Hub is made up of core leaders in each of these areas who seek to promote the aims of the Justice Hub within their areas.
Our primary aims are:
- To inspire, inform and prophetically challenge the churches and structures of our association on issues of justice
- To be a resource to the association, developing and pointing churches to relevant resources, and partnering with other organisations to deliver training.
- To facilitate relationship building and networking within the LB family on issues of justice
- To maintain links and involvement with wider Baptist and ecumenical bodies for the purpose of shared understanding and collaborative work on justice areas
Rev. Claire Nicholls co-ordinates the justice hub. If you want to know more about what we're up to, please get in touch with her via the contact form at the bottom of this page.

Find out moreClaire's former life was as a Maths Teacher in Derbyshire. She trained for ministry at Northern Baptist College and has served two churches as minister. Firstly, Christ Church in Ramsbottom (near Manchester), a Baptist/Methodist LEP; and secondly, at New Addington Baptist Church in South London. She is a director of the London Baptist Property Board and oversees the LB Justice Hub and FaithThinking.
Claire is passionate about bringing people together, within and despite of difference. She loves to see our Baptist family walking with and watching over one another so that we thrive - in order to enable the good news of Jesus to be brought, and lived out within our local contexts. She is a baker of wild and wonderful things, and she likes a good walk and plenty of laughter. Good music makes her heart sing.
