Home MissionFunding for the LBA largely comes through giving to the Baptist Union's annual Home Mission appeal. Member churches are ask to give 5% of their general fund income to Home Mission. Home Mission is the Baptist family sharing together. Home Mission helps churches, that could not otherwise afford a minister, to have one. It funds chaplains working in education and industry. It supports evangelists and missioners, as well as providing materials, help and advice from the national resource represented by the Baptist Union at its Didcot offices. Regional Ministers and Associations, and the work of the LBA, are supported by Home Mission. By sharing together, we enable the spread of the Gospel and the growth of the church. And by working together and pooling our resources, we can achieve so much more. All churches in membership of the Baptist Union have the opportunity to be a recipient of the many and varied materials and services provided by Home Mission some of which are the services provided through the national resource and the associations. Grants funded by Home Mission are also available to enable churches take forward their mission - click to learn more about BUGB Mission Grant support and the application process.
What Home Mission Does in London...
