In his professional life, Martin enjoyed a career of more than thirty years with NatWest, the last twelve years as a Senior Manager in their Commercial Bank. He specialised in regulated businesses and clients included a variety of charities, such as schools and places of worship.
Since his teens he has been a member of Eastwood Baptist Church (Nottingham), where his contribution to the community included roles as a Youth Leader, Musician and Deacon.
He is married to Liz, and their family consists of three grown up daughters and two grandchildren. In his spare time he enjoys watching thrillers, reading, walking, photography and travel.
