Hany was trained for the Baptist ministry at Spurgeon’s College and since 2001 served the London Arabic Evangelical Church, Hammersmith Christian Fellowship and East Hill Baptist Church, Wandsworth. In 2012 he moved to Ontario, Canada to pastor Alliston Alliance Church. He returned to London to take up his current role in 2019. His experience with multicultural churches in London, mono-culture ministry in Canada and his cross-cultural marriage have equipped him to relate to and embrace people from all backgrounds and cultures with God’s love. He is passionate about equipping the church to preach the Gospel and make disciples, declaring the Lordship of Christ in our modern secular society. Hany (an Egyptian) is married to Judith (Dutch) and has two sons: Christopher and Timothy. He enjoys, walking, travelling, and playing keyboard, chess and football.
Aside from his pastoral responsibilities, Hany advises the Mission Partnership Funding Committee and also convenes our Mission Hub. He works alongside Hilary Taylor (our small churches enabler) as part of the Small Churches Connexion. Nationally, he represents us at Baptists Together Mission Forum.
