LBA Districts
Districts
The member Churches of the LBA work together in Districts. The boundaries between
Districts are the London Borough boundaries. Some Churches just outside the London Boroughs are in
Districts in the part of London closest to them. Click here to see the way the Boroughs are allocated to
Districts.
Typical District Objects
Districts determine for themselves how they are run but typical objects of a District
are:
- to promote fellowship amongst the Churches and stimulate their outreach;
- to have special concern for the smaller fellowships;
- to arouse, sustain and develop interest in Mission at home and overseas through the
Baptist Union of Great Britain (BU) and the Baptist Missionary Society (BMS) and to
stimulate financial support for the BMS and BU Home Mission; and
- to maintain and encourage relations within the London Baptist Association (LBA).

District Structures
Representatives from the Churches of each District meet as District Councils and they
appoint some District officers. For each District there is a District Minister and District
Co-ordinator who are appointed by the LBA Board on the recommendation of the Churches in
the District. The Districts, District Ministers, and District Co-ordinators are listed below.
