London Baptist Property Board
The London Baptist Property Board (LBPB) was founded and incorporated on 30 March 1906 by the London Baptist Association. It was established to assist the Churches with the management of their property. Memorandum and Articles of Association

Money
As part of its role, the Board accepts deposits and makes loans to the Churches for property related matters. It can assist people wishing to make covenants or bequests to Churches or denominational agencies. The Board is also able to receive and distribute donations to Churches through Gift Aid.

Interest Rates
The Board's interest rates are published each week in The Baptist Times. Interest rates as from 1 April 2009 - Deposits 1.0% (CAR 1.0%); Loans 3.7% (APR 3.75%). Interest rates as from 1 NOvember 2009 - Deposit 0.8% (CAR 0.8%). Loan 3.5% (APR 3.55%).

Trustee
The Board also acts as holding trustee for many London Churches and a few Churches outside London. At the end of September 1999 the Board was trustee for 289 Churches and certain other bodies as listed at the back of the annual report.

Property Inspections
In 1995 the Board launched a programme of quinquennial (five yearly) inspections of church buildings and manses. This is intended to help highlight areas of required maintenance at an early stage. Churches who want to know more about this programme should contact Rev Paul Martin.
