Home Mission grants have been renamed BUGB Mission grants beginning with the 2009 grant round. There were two BUGB Mission Grants Training Events in early 2009 to help churches considering applying for grants and for LBA appointed visitors to those churches. Click here to download PowerPoint slides used at these sessions.

Colin Hicks has been assisting Rev Paul Martin with the administration of BUGB Mission grant applications for London since the beginning of 2007 (note: until 2008 these were called Home Mission grants.)

You can now download BUGB Mission grant materials from a special section of the Baptist Union website: http://www.baptist.org.uk/bugbmissiongrants.

Home Mission Grants Training Events were held in early 2008 to help churches considering applying for Home Mission support and for Home Mission visitors to those churches. Click here to download PowerPoint slides used at those events (750 Kb).

In autumn 2005, the LBA distributed a 5 minute Home Mission video featuring London churches benefitting from Home Mission support together with some supporting material on CDRom. The following resource materials (from the CDRom) can be used with the video or they can be used separately: Click for information about pdf documents.

Home Mission is organised by the Baptist Union of Great Britain to enable mission to take place throughout England and Wales.

Home Mission is the Baptist family sharing together. Home Mission helps Churches, that could not otherwise afford a minister, to have one. It funds chaplains working in education and industry. It supports evangelists and missioners, as well as providing materials, help and advice from the national resource represented by the Baptist Union at its Didcot offices. Regional Ministers and Associations, including Rev Dr Patricia Took (Regional Ministry Team Leader for London) and the work of the LBA, are supported by Home Mission.

By sharing together, we enable the spread of the Gospel and the growth of the Church. And by working together and pooling our resources, we can achieve so much more.

All Churches in membership of the Baptist Union have the opportunity to be a recipient of the many and varied materials and services provided by Home Mission.

The money is raised by each Association setting a Home Mission target. Associations then encourage Churches to contribute towards that target.

To learn more about the Home Mission and how Churches can apply for support contact the LBA Secretary (Rev Paul Martin), Colin Hicks, or your District Home Mission Coordinator.
