Treasurers' Training Day

The King's Cross Baptist Church

Saturday 24 April 2010

We are delighted that Malcolm Broad, the treasurer of the Baptist Union, has agreed to lead a training day for church treasurers and independent examiners.

Topics addressed in the training will include:

  • How to format accounts
  • How to budget effectively
  • How to manage reserves
  • How to report to deacons meeting and church meeting
  • The trustee responsibility of treasurers
  • The responsibility of the independent examiner
  • Why support Home Mission?

There is a charge of £5 for the training day. Tea and coffee will be provided. Participants should bring their own packed lunch.

Jewels in His Crown addresses ministry and mission among South Asians in Britain and takes place every two years. In the light of different models of church and issues affecting 2nd and 3rd generation British Asian Christians, the 2010 conference will address the question, “Which Way the UK Asian Church?” On 23rd January a half day conference prequel will give people an opportunity to see and hear some of what will be shared in the full conference from 25-27th June 2010.
