High Leigh Conference Centre

Leading Issues

In this year’s ministers’ conference we will be exploring the exercise of leadership in the life of our churches. Our aim in planning the conference is to enable those who attend the conference to reflect on their experience of leadership and to equip them to exercise their leadership more effectively.

Our main speakers are Revd Dr Kate Coleman and Revd Cham Kaur-Mann. Kate and Cham are directors of the organisation Next Leadership. They will lead three main sessions for us as well as leading one of the workshops.

Revd Dr Kate Coleman

is founding director of Next Leadership.  She has over 25 years of leadership experience in the church, charity and voluntary sectors.

Kate is also Chair of the Evangelical Alliance Council, former president of the Baptist Union of Great Britain (2006/7), and a Baptist Minister.

Revd Cham Kaur-Mann

has over 20 years leadership experience, in the church, charity and voluntary sectors, mentor to leaders.   She is the first (and only) Asian woman minister within the Baptist Union of Great Britain.

Cham is co-director of Next Leadership and Chair of the Nehemiah Foundation, a national initiative established to train, support and equip people and organisations of faith, to alleviate poverty and address disadvantage in areas of multiple deprivation.
