Christian Aid Week 14-20 May

If you didn’t know already, Christian Aid Week is upon us once more and we would wholeheartedly support Lynn Green’s letter which has been recently sent to all churches supporting the initiative which is now in its 60th year’

Christian Aid was established at the end of the Second World War as the churches’ response to the

refugee crisis in Europe. Now we face another refugee crisis, which is part of a bigger global problem.

Today, 65 million people are displaced, forced to leave their homes because of war, conflict or disaster.

Churches across the world are often at the forefront of providing support, hospitality and welcome. In this

country, as you know, local churches are showing practical love to refugees in their communities.

It has been so encouraging to learn of the generous response of many Baptists to this current crisis, but

also to recognise those churches that have been working with refugees for many years, and rejoice with

them as they witness lives being changed through the good news of Jesus Christ. These examples of

radical discipleship are an inspiration to us all. Please Click Here for full letter.
