But even more exciting London is a city witnessing God at work in amazing ways, with His love and truth breaking into lives, streets and communities across our capital. University is an exciting and life shaping time! You’ll have the chance to meet new people and learn a lot about yourself and even more about the world we live in. As you begin REMEMBER one AMAZING TRUTH! You haven’t arrived at uni alone! God has journeyed with you to this point in your life and will be there every step of the way over the next few years. He wants you to learn more about Him, His amazing love for you and this world, as well as discover more about the unique person He has created you to be! As you begin this new stage of life, there’s no better way to start than go to the person who made you and ask Him to lead and shape it to be a time which will count into eternity!
UCCF works to serve and support Christian Unions in universities across the UK and is a great first stop if you are looking to connect with other Christian students on your campus.
This fantastic website offers a whole host of resources to help you think through some of the bigger questions about God, faith and what it means to be a Christian in an ever changing world. Some great audio resources and talks which relate to the topics of your studies as well as other questions that people have about Christianity.
Are in 6th form or a FE college? Festive is there to connect you, resource you and support you as a follower of Jesus as a student.
If you’re not already sorted in halls then this may be a site in which you can connect with others looking for a place to live in the city.
Friends International is specially dedicated to serving international students that are moving to the UK to spend their university years. If you are moving to London from outside the UK and would like to be connected with Christians from your own country during your time hear then do get in touch with us or you can contact FI directly and they may be able to help you out.
Pete James: Student and Young Adults Worker
If you are moving to London to study or know somebody that is and want to know more about the city, life as a student and how to get plugged into a Christian community both on campus and off campus then our Student and Young Adults Worker, Pete James would love to help you! Pete studied in London at both King’s College (KCL) and the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and found the London experience was such a great one that he decided to stay and serve God in the city.
