Making Disciples

- Sharing the Good News of Jesus

In 2009, the LBA Board adopted a new Statement of Purpose to guide the LBA's strategy:

"The LBA is an association of churches
called to make disciples
who share the good news of Jesus."

This is accompanied by the strap-line:

"Making Disciples - Sharing the Good News of Jesus"

The overall aim is:

To develop within the Association a culture and a programme of activities that will lead to a deeper commitment to Christian discipleship in our member churches and an increased confidence and intentionality in sharing the good news of Jesus.

The strategy is being worked out through specific objectives under five headings:

  • Grounded in God
  • Strengthening the Net
  • Stirring up the Pool
  • Letting the Light Shine
  • Building Bridges
  • Implementing the Strategy

In June 2012, the LBA Board issued an update of the LBA Strategy (Click here to download the 2012 update). You can also download this and the original draft strategy on which we consulted in 2008 from the Download Area of this website.
